Chesley Cowl Knitting Pattern

Enjoy another free and easy knitting pattern for this beautifully textured but super simple cowl. Make one for yourself and for everyone on your gift list!

The Chesley Cowl is a one-size-fits-all cowl that will keep you cozy from fall to spring. The cowl is knit in the round, so no seaming is required. The double-seed stich pattern is simple to master and the resulting look is classic and reversible. Easy-to-knit and endlessly versatile, this essential cowl is a wardrobe staple. We designed the pattern in our super-soft, two-ply Alpaca Wool yarn for its beautiful texture and gorgeous colour palette. Whether you prefer a neutral cowl you can wear with everything or a pop of colour to brighten things up, you’ll find the perfect Alpaca Wool shade to suit your taste.

Knitting Tips:
When you've finished knitting your cowl, make sure to leave an extra-long tail for the bind-off. Because the pattern is knit in the round you will have to bind off every stitch of the circumference, so it is important to reserve enough yarn. Bind off loosely to ensure the finished product lays flat instead of cinching at the top. To achieve a loose bind off, some knitters like to go up several needle sizes, while others use the same size needles and concentrate on maintaining a loose tension as they go.
